You have received your new beautifully designed jewelry! How do you keep it looking new and beautiful! Here are tips for the various metals and plating to help your customers keep their pieces looking new.
When you receive your products, try not to handle them too much. Wear gloves when repackaging or inspecting to prevent finger prints or transfer of oils onto to jewelry.
Keep stored in plastic or tarnish proof bags and never polish plated jewelry with a polishing cloth.
For pendants with chains, package the chains so they do not scratch the pendant's surface.
Gold
Keep the shine on your gold jewelry by scrubbing it lightly with a soft tip bristled brush and warm water and detergent free soap.
Buff with a clean cloth.
Store your jewelry in a dry place when not worn.
Sterling Silver
This will oxidize when exposed to elements - to prevent this remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering.
Apply perfumes, creams and lotions and hair care products before putting on your jewelry.
To clean varnished jewelry, polish gently with a silver cloth.
Store your jewelry in a dry place when not worn.
Vermeil
Remove your jewelry before exercising, washing your hands or showering.
