What do the design words mean?

What is a circle vs. a sphere?

• A circle is a two-dimensional figure
• A sphere is a three-dimensional object

What is engraving vs. bas-relief?

• Engraving is when a design (letters or images) is cut into material. 
  
• Bas-relief is a light carving of a design into a surface. The image is raised a few inches from a flat background to give a three-dimensional effect.
